Turmeric

Turmeric is known as a natural medicine.  It is believed that it can prevent acne and can help preserve the youthfulness of the skin.  Along with those wonderful benefits, here a few more reasons that you should include turmeric into your diet:

Does wonders for our digestive system:

  • It can stimulate the gallbladder, which releases bile that helps our bodies break down the food we eat and also helps our bodies absorb fats and certain nutrients.  It is an excellent gas reliever.

Can help prevent Alzheimer's Disease:

  • While it is not proven that it can help cure Alzheimer's Disease, it may help to prevent it.  It can help relieve oxidative damage in the brain and reduce inflammation.
  • Turmeric can also clear up the buildup of protein plaques.  It is recommended that you implement it into your diet at least once a day.

Turmeric is a known anti-depressant:

  • When choosing an anti-inflammatory agent to consume if experiencing depression, try turmeric.  Also, when discussing the possibility of using anti-depressants with your doctor, speak to them about the benefits of using turmeric.
